The Patna Metro Rail Project is the first metro system in Bihar that will transform transportation in the capital city Patna. The project is being developed by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation with support from the Government of Bihar and the Government of India.

The metro network will cover about 34 km with 26 stations, connecting major areas like Danapur, Patna Junction, Gandhi Maidan, PMCH, Rajendra Nagar and ISBT.

The project cost is estimated at ₹19,500 crore and it is partly funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency.

Once completed, Patna Metro will reduce traffic congestion, decrease pollution and improve connectivity across the city. It will also boost economic growth and real estate development in Bihar.
