In this lesson, we introduce half notes (minims) and whole notes (semibreves). Half notes last for two beats; whole notes last for four beats. Whilst this lesson may not be the most exciting for drummers, the knowledge is important to acquire. You'll undoubtedly come across half and whole notes when you're reading sheet music, so it's vital you understand them. Play along with the on-screen exercises, making sure you count along with the rhythms throughout!
