Beautifully described history of badin District was established in the year 1975, It comprises of five Talukas Viz: Badin, Matli, Shaheed Fazal Rahu, Talhar and Tando bago and 46 Union Councils with 14 revenue circles, 111 Tapas and 535 dehs. This District is bordered by Hyderabad & Mirpukhas District in the North. Tharpaarkar & Mirpurkhas in the East, Hyderabad & Thatta District in the west & Runn of katch (Arabial Sea) in the South, which also forms international boundary with India.
Total area of District is 6726 Sq: Kilometers with population of 11,93,081. The district lies between latitude 24o-5 to 25o-25 and longitude 68o-15 to 69o-25 E of Greenwich.
