Changing the CV boot on my 6x6 Volvo C304!

Описание: My 6x6 portal-axled Volvo C304 leaves a trail of portal oil everywhere she goes! Let's get the portals out, get them clean, painted, looking fresh and fitted with some fancy new silicone CV boots.

Tools used:
1/2” spanner for drain plugs
27mm spanner (I don’t have the correct imperial size) for axle filler plug
24mm socket for wheels nuts
7/16” spanner for brake line brackets
19mm socket for steering bar (I don’t have any imperial sockets)
11/16” spanner for hub nuts
Hammer
Chissel

Steps:
00:00 - Intro
00:42 - Lock the front differential
00:53 - Crack off the filler plugs
01:38 - Remove the wheels and brake hub
01:49 - Drain the portal and diff oil
02:36 - Remove the brake line brackets
03:31 - Remove the steering bar
04:15 - Remove the hub from the portal
10:54 - Remove the portal from the axle
17:48 - Clean and prep the portal
23:53 - Replace the CV boot
28:48 - Repeat the steps in reverse to re-fit!
31:50 - Test drive
