The Human Rights Council continues its 61st regular session in Geneva with Day 2 of the high-level segment on 24 February 2026 at the Palais des Nations.
During the high-level segment, the Council hears statements from dignitaries representing more than 100 States, including Heads of State and Government, ministers, and senior officials, addressing pressing human rights issues and global priorities.
Meeting in the Assembly Hall of the Palais des Nations, the Council continues its general debate at the highest political level, providing a platform for Member States to outline national perspectives, highlight challenges, and reaffirm commitments to the promotion and protection of human rights.
The high-level segment forms a central part of the Council’s 61st session, which runs from 23 February to 31 March 2026.
