I painted this little seascape inspired by my coastal home, and immediately fell in love with it. It is so simple, but it works so well - it is atmospheric and calming, and I feel such peace when looking at it.
But to make this simple scene work, I needed to make sure all the elements and techniques came together in a harmonious way, and I will share the little tricks I used here as I paint.
Materials used:
PAPER:
Baohong Master's Choice 100% cotton 300gsm cold press paper, 18 x 26 cm (7 x 10 in)
PAINTS:
Carbazole Violet (Daniel Smith)
Indigo (Michael Harding)
Payne's Grey (Michael Harding)
Quinacridone Sienna (Daniel Smith)

Princeton Aqua Elite Long Round Size 12
