What you need to know to find them:
1. You need to be on a conquest large map. The boxes still spawn on other modes, but they might be out of bounds.
2. There must be at least 4 players in the server.
3. The first box spawns within the first 8 minutes after a match starts. Only one box exists at a time, and once it gets picked up or destroyed it respawns after 10 minutes.
4. They are not completely random, they are randomized between set spawn locations which you can check on the maps.
5. The box containing the dogtags is white when on snow, brown when on dirt, etc..
6. You have to knife the box to reveal the dogtag. Then you can pick it up using the interact button. If you unbox a tag and leave it, it will respawn after exactly 60 seconds.
7. If you shoot the box, knife it with an icicle, run it over with a vehicle, etc.. The box will disappear and you’ll have to wait for a respawn.
8. When any player picks up a tag, everyone on the server hears the achievement sound.
9. Use of MAV or IRNV/FLIR scopes isn't expedient, after the last patch of a box don't glow. On dark maps and in rooms use a flashlight to make your search a little bit easier.
10. You can leave the server before the match ends, and the dogtag will show unlock on Battlelog once you receive the Battlereport.
