Hey friends, this video is about methods of redemption of preference shares along with journal entries. There are four methods to redeem Preference shares-
1. Out of Profits where reserves which are available for distribution of dividend are used
2. Out of Fresh Issue where company issue new equity shares and amount received is used in redemption of preference shares
3. If the company has some cash and some free reserves then partly out of profits and partly out of fresh issue
4. Conversion where Preference shares are converted into equity shares
