These are the questions that I get more than any others.

1.) “Cody what does it take to find success as a real estate investor?”

2.) “Do I have to have a real estate mentor?”

3.) “Where do I find a real estate mentor?”

4.) “Do I have to pay for a real estate mentor?”

5.) “Can I completely avoid a mentor all together and just go through YouTube university?”

Here’s the thing that you need to know… Everyone learns in a different way. When I first got started in real estate I went to all the seminars, I bought all the course, I listened to all the guru’s and after 9 months of putting in the hard work I eventually gave up.

The reason why it was so difficult for me to get any traction was because I was listening to everyone's advice. Every course told me to try something different and when I finally get excited about once strategy someone would come in and tell me to try something else.

All this jumping around caused me a lot more harm than good and it was eventually the thing that led me to quitting the real estate business. But before I completely lost hope I found my mentor Lyle. He taught me exactly how to follow the correct systems and processes to get the results I was looking for.

Finding Lyle was the best thing that ever happened to me. I wouldn't be standing here in front of you today if it weren't from him.

Bottom line if to find a mentor. You are going to waste a lot less time and money trying to figure out the game if you get a mentor vs. trying to do everything yourself.
