Описание: In this video, I introduce my latest book, The Black Swan Problem: Risk Management Strategies for a World of Wild Uncertainty. The book takes a look at the Black Swan issue through the lens of corporate strategic and financial decisions. How should we lead and manage organizations in a world of wild uncertainty? How can we ensure that we survive and thrive across a large number of scenarios? The book contains chapters on creating an approriate mindset for a world of wild uncertainty ("Greeting the Swan"); how to become more resilient and protect the strategy ("Taming the Swan"); on catching opportunities that only present themselves during Black Swan-induced crises ("Catching the Swan"); and how to capitalize on positive Black Swans by, contrary to the advice on building resilience, pulling a number of levers for maximizing exposure ("Riding the Swan"). In the book, we draw lessons on how to deal with wild uncertainty from a long list of real-world companies, including Netflix, Tesla, Norwegian, and Hertz.
