Please note: I always use protective gear when I use my powdered dyes and I never use equipment that I use for dyeing yarn to cook food in, everything from the spoons to the catering pans and the pots are solely designated for dyeing and are kept separate. Always be safe!
My love for all things fibre is deepening by the minute and this only fuels it! I love the learning process of doing this videos, of learning to recognise my dyes better in their liquid form before the acid and hear release their true colours. I love finding out how each type of fibre from different sheep breeds reacts when dyed, who are more resistant to rubbing and felting and who aren’t (ahem I am looking at you merino!)
