Singing has always been Veena's first love and passion. Through school, she participated in many singing competitions. When she went for her first audition at the age of 14, she begged the director to let her sing, but she was always encouraged to only act. She tried to stay in touch with the music industry having done many music videos for renowned artists like Rahat Fatheh Ali Khan and Waris Baig. She now feels that she has reached a stage in her career where she must follow her heart and can choose to devote time to her favourite art form -- singing.

The song is the story of all young girls, including Veena. Her first music album Drama Queen.
