Finally it is time to meet the Mana Tree. I spent a long time trying to get a Griffin Helm and went up quite a few levels... The Pure Land is basically a boss gauntlet, with six fights against various recolors and a bunch of dragons. Though some of their attacks can pack a punch, most can easily be dispatched with magic.
At the end, the heroes bask in coming so far only for Thanatos to smite their joy by blowing the Mana Tree away. In its last strength, we learn the truth of the tree and its guardians as well as gain the ability to max out our magic and eventually the sword. Onward to the Mana Fortress to kick Thanatos' ass!
