Insecurity: The state of being unsafe or unprotected. This is the state that the Turkana people have constantly found themselves in over the years. A people besieged in their motherland, frequently attacked - by the Pokot people from Kenya, Merille from Ethiopia, Karamojong from Uganda and Toposa from Southern Sudan. Raids that result in numerous women, children and men being killed, cattle raided and forcing entire communities to flee for their lives.
