The strategy backtested in this video looks at the Alpha Crunching WTR before the trading week begins.

The Weekly Triumph Rate (WTR) shows the historical percentage of times SPX has closed higher 7 days later over the past two months. These values are updated before the trading week begins so you have an idea of which days in the coming week may be best for trading SPX 7DTE put credit spreads.

Any day that has a WTR value of 50% of higher is a candidate for an SPX 7DTE put credit spread to be taken in the last 30 minutes of that trading day.

Once the WTR shows which days are candidates for the week, at the time of the trade entry, the SPX 5sma must be above the 10sma on the daily chart to confirm the proper bullish condition in order to take a bullish bull put spread with 7 days to expiration.

This research showed selling at the money spreads on SPX with a width of 5 points. Selling at the money spreads reduce the max loss of the spread with an average risk reward of just better than 3:2.
