In this past paper question from NSC 2018 Paper 2 Question 1.2 we are asked to calculate the following:

Mean
x = R94,666.. = R94,67
σ = R22,691... = R22,69
Compare the two means.
They both collected the same (equal) amount in
tips.
Compare the standard deviations. Mary's standard deviation is smaller so her tips have less variation.
