Neo75 Cu | Gateron Type R | Typing & Sound Test

Описание: Today I wanna check out a new tactile by SillyWorks. The Type R is a hyper tactile switch with crazy short travel & a BIG tactile bump. Before that let’s see the keyboard and switch specs.

I’m gonna be using my Neo75 Cu today because I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this board. If you’d like a more in depth “review” of it lemme know!

Disclaimer There is a known issue with the switch regarding leaf chatter (phantom presses) Out of 90 l purchased only 8 were bad. As far as I know @gateron.switch have been made aware of the issue. Disclaimer End

Typing Feel: These switches have an insanely harsh bottom out, but I feel that's to be expected as the travel is only 3mm worth of travel. I actually REALY enjoy the harsher bottom out and over-all feel of the switch. It did take some time to get used to tho. At a 60g bottom out I can honestly say they feel quite comfortable to type on and not as heavy (to me) as the specs would indicate. Again more than likely due to the short travel.

Sound: These things are deep and CLACKY. Like got dang.Now I say deep, but that's kinda subjective as it's quite a bit deeper than something like OG HMX, but not even close to being as deep as something like a Boba U4T. Overall they have a really awesome sound profile and l've been enjoying them on Carbon Fiber plates the most. In my batch I had zero switches with any spring ping or scratchy sounds.

Lube & Housing: Factory lube is solid and it seems Gateron has really been improving their process in this regard.Housings are tight and don't require any films imo.

Would I recommend them? Absolutely! These are perfect for tactile lovers or anyone who has been wanting a hyper tactile.
