I modded my DJI Phantom 3 Standard remote radio with three U.FL to RP-SMA cables, one Alfa APA-M25 antenna, and two Alfa APA-M04 antennas obtained from http://store.rokland.com
Prior to this modification my Phantom 3 Standard using the stock antennas and I typically obtained flight distances of 1,600 to 2,000 feet.
The test flight above is with my newly modded controller. I reached 14,180 feet (over 2.6 miles) before I initiated the RTH feature.

I was within 5 miles of a privately owned, unpaved, airport. The airport owner was notified prior to this test.
Note: This modification will void the warranty of your controller, but there is no modification to the Phantom 3, thus it can still be returned under warranty. When doing warranty repair to a Phantom 3, DJI asks that you ship only the Phantom 3 aircraft. Not the controller or accessories.
