You will need to rent a car as it is a 1-hour drive from Palermo airport. Having a car also allows you to drive into the charming town of Scopello for dinner, where you can find many incredible restaurants.
The public can access the beach at Tonnara di Scopello by paying a fee, while hotel guests have access to a private beach and area.
