Part 3 of the Weapon Asset Pipeline takes us through the steps of creating a procedural texture using Substance Designer. Substance Designer is an amazingly powerful application that allows us to define our textures in a non-destructive way, most commonly referred to as proceduralism. Throughout this course we will go step by step and show how to set up a new substance texture, utilizing PBR and the latest and greatest that Substance Designer 5 has to offer. We will cover how to use the Substance Designer’s model baker, how to develop your own procedural wood patterns, and how to design effectively with a procedural texturing workflow. By the end of this course you will have a fully textured AK 47 gun, inside of the Unity 5 Game engine, ready for use in your own games.
