Keith Chegwin goes behind the scenes of TOTP and Radio 1 to find out how new singles are seen and heard. He speaks with Radio 1 DJ Gary Davies and Top of The Pops producer Michael Hurll about how they select tracks for their programmes. Do they think their shows reflect the tastes of the pop-buying public or influence them?

Keith also visits Gallup, to find out how the UK Top 40 chart is compiled.
