Hiking Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve - Do More

Описание: This year I am making a commitment to go out and go do stuff, what that exactly entails still needs to be defined more, but outdoor activities are high on the list. So, I left early in the morning and it was about a two-hour road trip out to Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve where I was going to go hiking for the day. I tried to keep it fairly silent as I have really been appreciating ASMR videos lately and love the sound of nature. The park was pretty impressive, climbing from the high desert of Tequisquiapan through the clouds to the peaks of Sierra Gorda.

The hike, Cuatro Palos to Mision de Bucareli, was pretty challenging starting at 9,000 feet and dropping to 3,000 feet in just 7 miles. Hiking down was challenging enough but climbing nearly 1,000 feet every mile at elevation for miles on end was...tough. It was great starting above the clouds and then hiking down through them.

The entire hike was accomplished in one day and I would suggest being fairly fit before trying to accomplish the entire thing. Luckily, it is an out and back hike, so one can bail out at any time. Just remember every step down the trail results in one backup.

I'm just starting to get back into hiking to again as it took a backseat to mountain biking, but with my new-found enjoyment of videos, I find it much easier to shoot while walking as opposed to riding. Not really sure the direction of the channel yet, but if you like it or have some suggestions, let me know.
