Moroccan Vlog Part 3 | Fes Medina Walk

Today started at Moroccan Dream Hostel, and from there I walked straight into the heart of Fes Medina. Fes is one of the oldest cities in Morocco, and its Medina is a maze of narrow streets, local markets, mosques, and daily life happening all at once. Walking here feels intense but real. Every turn shows something new.
While exploring, I also visited the famous Rainbow Street, known for its colorful hanging threads and textiles. It’s a small street, but very popular for photos and gives a nice break from the busy Medina walk.
Later in the afternoon, I joined a walking tour booked through the Guruwalk app. It’s listed as a free tour community, but the concept is simple. A local guide leads the tour, and at the end you tip based on your experience. Honestly, booking this tour was the best decision of the day.
Our guide Zakariya was excellent. He explained everything clearly and in detail, without making it boring. He spoke about the culture, history, and daily life of Fes Medina, and also explained each section we passed through. We were a group of around 10 people.
During the tour, we visited:
Nejjarine Museum
Mausoleum of Moulay Idris II
Al Attarine Madrasa
Chaouara Tannery (the largest tannery in the Africa region)
A handicraft shop
A traditional perfume shop

After the tour, I ended the day with dinner at Restaurant Lounge Fes, where I had the best chicken pastilla. The food was amazing, and the customer service was one of the best I experienced in Morocco.
