A festival running along the banks of the capital’s Hangang River has returned even bigger than before – kicking off this month and due to run until the end of the year.
The Hangang River Festival takes place across 11 different parks along the river, and some 120 different programs are scheduled to take place.
Some key attractions and events for visitors to watch out for include an audition program called the "Hangang Rising Star" that anyone can take part in, a "floating" cinema featuring a widescreen, and a river parade of more than a hundred boats.
Seoul hopes to attract around three million tourists to the city through the newly improved festival this year.
