👉If you are going to give birth,
send mail to
local standesamt(rathaus)
if there is any certificate verification
Need to be done for issuing birth certificate...(Ask them before baby birth for safer side)
👉Documents required:
*Birth record (letter)given by
Hospital with doctors signature..
*original birth certificate of mother
and father.
*original marriage certificate of parents
passport and residence of parents in copy
*statement on granting of first names

Procedure:

Online application form is to be filled on the webportal of Government of India at the following link:

Please upload/attach the following with the web application filled on line on the above portal:
(a) Photograph of the child is to be uploaded on the portal (size 35x35 mm, which background - in JPG format less than 20KB in size)

(b) Signatures of the both the parents are also required to be uploaded on the portal (in JPG format less than 20 KB in size)

(c) Birth Certificate of the child issued by local German Authority (in PDF format less than 1 MB in size)

(d) Scanned copies of passport of both parents (first and last page of the passport – 2 pages of each passport) [in PDF format less than 1 MB in size]

After filling-up the form and uploading the above mentioned documents, print out of the same may be taken and the form should be duly signed by both the parents
The form may be submitted/sent to Consulate along with supporting documents as per the Checklist mentioned below.

For newborn passport:

FIRST STEP (REGISTRATION OF BIRTH/BIRTH CERTIFICATE) : The child must be first registered as an Indian Citizen. The Consulate shall issue a Birth Certificate in the name of the child after registering the child as Indian citizen. SECOND STEP (APPLICATION FOR PASSPORT): Following procedure may be followed for applying for fresh passport to a new born child:

Print-out of the passport application form filled online be taken. Instead of signature, thumb impression of the child is required in signature box on the first page and last page of the application form below the photograph (left thumb impression in case of male child and right thumb impression in case of female child)
Procedure as mentioned above in First Step for registration of child as an Indian citizen be followed and separate set of documents may be attached as mentioned above.
Copy of Birth Certificate issued by the local German Authority

Self-attested copies of parents' passports and residence permits / visas
Copy of Meldebescheinigung (Proof of residency/address)
Consent Letter (Download) from parents
Annexure G – applicable when one parent has not given consent

Child’s presence at the consulate is not mandatory
For delivery of new passport booklet by Post, please sent a medium size(C5) self addressed and stamped (Euro 4.50) envelop along with your application
Receipt of fee.
