World War I and the October revolution had already raged, and the civil war, which took 17 million lives, was over. 2 million people fled the country. And a new country began to emerge in the ashes. The vast territory of the now-former Russian Empire required an incredible amount of transport and fuel for it.

At that time, all of Europe already drove cars and trucks, and 23 years before, in 1900, the first firewood-powered vehicle had appeared there. In the USSR, everything was just beginning. The young state, built on the ruins of the old world, needed to survive. And when everything in the economy was not just bad, but very bad, the transport gasifier came onto the scene.
