In Delhi government colleges, obstetrics and gynaecology closed at 44 marks, while general surgery closed at 47. Experts warn that rapid seat expansion, faculty shortages, and weakened assessments add to systemic stress, and lowering entry standards may compromise patient safety. The Health Ministry, however, assures that competence will be ensured through training and exams, though long-term risks remain.
