Описание: After winning the WWE Championship from Rey Mysterio on the July 25, 2011 episode of Monday Night RAW, John Cena was interrupted by the returning CM Punk. Still in possession of the WWE Championship he won at Money in the Bank a few weeks prior, Punk made it clear that he saw himself as THE WWE Champion. To settle matters once and for all, CM Punk and John Cena met inside the squared circle, with the winner becoming the true title holder. Triple H (the acting Chief Operating Officer at the time) made himself guest referee, but during the match he accidentally counted the pinfall on Cena when his foot was on the bottom rope.

Moments after he defeated Cena, CM Punk lost the WWE Championship when Kevin Nash assaulted the Champion, allowing Alberto Del Rio to cash-in the RAW MiTB contract. With both Cena and Punk having been screwed out of their championships, a number one contender's match was made by Triple H. Thanks to interference by Kevin Nash, CM Punk again a high-profile match, allowing Cena to enter WWE Night of Champions 2011 to face Alberto Del Rio.
