In this video, we tackle a common pronunciation challenge: the word WORK. Many people try to pronounce the 'OR' letters as the /ɔr/ sound (like in 'for'), but the correct pronunciation in American English uses the Schwa + R sound (/ɜr/), which sounds exactly like the word WERE.
To pronounce WORK: Say WERE + the /k/ sound.
The first part of "work" is identical to the word "were."
