Shi'ite Muslims Travel to Iraq to Mark Annual Arba'een Pilgrimage

More than a half-million people had used the crossing point to enter Iraq for the pilgrimage as of Saturday, October 12, according to the director of the Shalamcheh border point, Ali Khaza'l.
After crossing into Iraq, the pilgrims take trains bound for Karbala, where they can visit the shrine of Imam Hussien. (Reuters)
