Описание: US markets will be closed on Friday 4 July, so the non-farm payrolls report will be released on Thursday, a day earlier than usual. Economists estimate that the US added 110,000 jobs in June, down from 139,000 in May. The unemployment rate is expected to edge up to 4.3% from 4.2% the previous month, while earnings growth is forecast to remain steady at 3.9% year-on-year. Although continuing jobless claims (read: long-term unemployed) are increasing, the jobs report is likely to indicate that the US labour market is in strong enough shape for the Federal Reserve to hold off on interest rate cuts until policymakers know more about the effect of tariffs on inflation. Further delays to rate cuts could have implications for the dollar and US indices, as financial analyst and investment manager Michael Kramer explores in his latest video.
