The #NapoJalBachaoKal campaign brought together thousands from across India to measure and map groundwater levels in their villages. 39,000+ wells across 11 states were mapped using simple tools and collective effort, the communities generated vital granular data in their locales to support water security.

This data helps communities take collective decisions to manage their shared water resources, and can help researchers, and policymakers to take informed policy and programmatic decisions.
