Who danced each move in Odd Eye best?

Описание: Remember this is not a contest or really even an analysis. It is enjoying stand out moments to appreciate and learn. It doesn’t say anything about their overall ability as this is just one performance.

Here is the approx amount of time I focused each member. Again, this doesn’t say much as not all moves are the same length or difficulty. Sua and Yoohyeon dominate the times here but everyone is actually fairly close.
Sua = 37s
Yoohyeon = 31s
Jiu = 15s
Dami = 14s
Handong = 12s
Siyeon = 11s
Gahyeon = 4s

Sua
Truly spectacular this whole way through. It’s pretty much perfect. Sometimes she doesn’t catch details or add to the moves the way some others do which is the only reason she’s not just the feature like the entire time lol. She almost never makes a mistake in this.

Yoohyeon
She has a spectacular sense for dance and is the most likely to get all of her angles correct. Her arms are particularly perfect. Much like Sua, there’s almost nothing she does wrong except minor detail mistakes (actually she does switch her knees/hips incorrectly in the hand throwing part of the chorus but it still looks great) and she’s a spectacular dancer.

Jiu
Jiu is a great dancer and it actually seems the most effortless to her in my opinion watching her over multiple practices. However, sometimes it is a bit too relaxed and she loses the impact on a move, it is also less common for her to add an extra detail to a move to enhance it. This may leave her overshadowed sometimes when the other members really bring the extra fire.

Dami
Dami is clearly a great dancer with great physical ability as seen in the details, she is capable of complicated footwork, fluid in her shoulders/chest/hips etc, and definitely brings the drama needed for this song. Her strengths and mistakes remind me of when I looked at J.Seph (KARD) in that she is overdoing it in a way that looks great on stage but then frequently misinterprets the moves despite making others look way better. I show her odd moves in the end so you can see what I mean.

Handong
She’s actually one of the cleanest and is extremely aware of her angles. This makes her moves more likely to be accurate than most of them. She also has good control especially emphasizing with her head and chest movements. However, not every move needs that cleanliness and she could take more liberties with the power of her moves as certain moments come off as too small or constrained. People always go on about “wow so-and-so improved so much” and I find it’s rarely true EXCEPT here. Handong is slaying it like never before. Maybe Youth With You really brought her to the next level. Sometimes a change in environment can really help!

Siyeon
As always, Siyeon brings the drama, but her dancing skills are really shining in this too. Considering the vast amount of most she does similarly to Sua, I would guess these two have practiced together extra without the rest. Yes, they’re all doing the same moves but certain choices in the movement and flow will differ

Gahyeon
I love Gahyeon and think she actually is the most eye-catching on stage during Odd Eye performances (except Sua) due to her amazing expressions/charisma...however, she struggles throughout this whole dance. Particularly, she isn’t aware enough of her angles. She gets the main detail of the move but nearly always misses something else. For example, not popping or switching her hips, not doing the correct footwork, not keeping her arms straight, etc. She also rushes from move to move leaving milliseconds where she is just moving to the next sequence without thinking about how and so she keeps popping in and out of the flow of the dance with her limbs. This is a very fast dance and she gets the basics right so this isn’t very noticeable during a live, only to me when I slow it down and watch carefully. Although I know Gahyeon is the weakest dancer in Dreamcatcher, she is not a bad dancer and clearly has the agility for these difficult dances, so I am wondering if it is just a matter of practice time. I am trying to learn this dance and find going over it extremely slowly in the mirror helps to figure out all the details. I think Gahyeon could benefit a lot from doing this more and then have killer moves to accompany her killer stage presence.
