Freight and a Sprinkle of Others at Ely

Описание: Video from a few hours at Ely railway station (Cambridgeshire, England) in April 2024, covering freight, track inspection and a few of the passenger trains. Freight hauled by class 60 and 66 diesel locomotives and the inspection train by a pair of (60-plus year old) class 37. Passenger trains were class 158 & 170 diesel, 387 & 700 electric and 755 bi-mode (electric/diesel) multiple units.

A total of 8 freight, 1 inspection and about 38 passenger trains passed through Ely in the 3.5 hours covered by the video (but only a few of the passenger trains feature in the video).

The PLPR (Plain Line Pattern Recognition) Inspection Train was on an 11 hour journey around half of East Anglia, from Cambridge via Ely, Kings Lynn, Ely, Ipswich, Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester, Ipswich, Felixstowe, Ipswich, Mistley, Ipswich and Ely to March.
