Hi everyone! I’m Dora from the Youth Reporter Corps.

We are here at the 2025 CAAL Volunteer Appreciation Party & Service Award Ceremony. Today, Lexington is celebrating its volunteers with performances, games, treats, and awards to thank those who supported our community throughout the year.

The 2025 CAAL Appreciation Party and Service Award Ceremony, held on December 6, 2025 at Maria Hastings Elementary School, brought together members, families, and friends for a warm and festive afternoon. CVSA is a local CAAL award that recognizes volunteer service and impact within the CAAL community. Volunteers were proudly recognized with Bronze, Silver, and Gold Volunteer Awards, celebrating the hard work they did throughout the year.
The party was filled with warmth, celebration, and community spirit. Guests enjoyed a lively afternoon of socializing, delicious food, and engaging activities that brought families and volunteers together. The performances like Chinese traditional dance and singing were fun to watch, adding energy and excitement to the event.

Volunteering is especially valuable for teenagers, as it helps them develop important skills, build confidence, and explore their interests while making a positive impact on their community. It teaches responsibility, teamwork, and empathy, and provides meaningful experiences that can shape their personal growth and future opportunities.
