ODDAR MEANCHEY - On December 29, two days after Cambodia and Thailand signed a renewed ceasefire, Cambodianess visited the village of Ph’ong, which saw intense military action approximately 10 kilometers from the O’Smach Border Checkpoint.
Houses were blown apart, leaving scars from shrapnel. Roads are filled with bomb craters, and the eerie sound of the wind blowing against the broken shelters.
Some villagers briefly returned home to check on their belongings and the condition of their houses or shops.
