Описание: In today’s episode of Truth Wanted, Jon the Skeptic and Thinker have a conversation with a long-time caller about ancient people’s beliefs and why we need to be careful about using the word, “create” when describing the universe.

Jon in Canada, suggests that aliens could have been mistaken for god by people in ancient times who had no knowledge of science or technology. Why do we need to add an extra step to natural things that happened? How would we demonstrate that the ancient people thought this? It is okay to not understand how the universe came into being and we don’t need to assume it was created by something. It may seem that all knowledge is good, however, there are times when knowledge can cause harm. Seeking knowledge that does not affect every day life can be a distraction from learning of things that cause harm such as religion, or of how to help people. What would be the purpose of accumulating knowledge that is just cool to know? Resources and time are best when used for things that are most likely to be true. Try not using the word, “created” for one week and observe how that changes your thinking.
