As of October 25th, 2021, after 16 years, the Young Adult Ministry of Faith Connections has closed.
As a congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto reflected and prayed about offering opportunities for adults in our Church, and beyond, that were most needed and appealing. We invite you to celebrate with us as the Spirit moves us forward, from Faith Connections, to new paths that reflect our common Christian vocation received at Baptism, "to do justice, to act with mercy and to walk humbly with our God" Micah 6:8.
Our Speakers:
Julie Cachia is Vocation Animator for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto presenting the life and ministries of the Sisters and inviting others to join the congregation as Consecrated Religious, as Associates and/or as Volunteers. Having known the Sisters for many years, she is looking forward to serving in this ministry. Previously she worked at Regis College, the Jesuit graduate school of theology at the University of Toronto where she also holds a Masters in Theological Studies.
Leah Watkiss is Ministry Director of the Sisters of St Joseph of Toronto’s Ministry for Social Justice, Peace, and Creation Care. She has over 10 years of experience working for social justice with Christian non-profits. She holds an M.A. in Peace and Justice from the University of San Diego.
