While Norway boasts nearly 90% all-electric new car sales, Sweden hits 63%, and the U.K. and China hover around 30%, the U.S. barely scrapes together 9% of new car market share for all-electric vehicles. Even for plug-in hybrids—which run on gas and electric—the U.S. market share is only 1.8%.

Question is, why is the U.S. lagging behind? The short answer: There's too much stigma against EVs, and a lot of it may stem from propaganda. It's time to debunk these myths once and for all.
