[RF] - NYS&W Toys for Tots Train on the Southern Tier!

Описание: In this video, we'll chase the New York, Susquehanna & Western Toys for Tots Train on the Central New York Southern Tier between Binghamton and Port Jervis!

Every holiday season, Toys for Tots collection trains run all over the Northeast to collect new, unwrapped toys to be distributed to less fortunate children in time for Christmas. The NYS&W regularly hosted one run on their Southern Division in years past, but expanded in 2025 with two new routes, from Syracuse, NY to Binghamton and Binghamton to Shohola, PA. The latter meant a very rare, scheduled opportunity to catch a train on the Southern Tier in daylight and we took full advantage of the opportunity. The train, symboled CL-1 was lead by SD70M-2 4066, with four boxcars, passenger equipment, and a Chessie System caboose. We'll chase from Oakland, PA to Port Jervis, NY, making plenty of stops along the way. This train was a welcome departure from the normal nocturnal westbound chase, and thus a chance to see much more of what this unique line has to offer! Enjoy!!
