In this video, we take a look inside one of the most extraordinary environments supporting large-scale research and high performance computing at HRT: the Lefdal Mine Datacenter in Norway. Located deep underground in a former olivine mine alongside a fjord, the facility siphons cold seawater and uses 100% renewable energy to support our extremely dense GPU clusters.
At HRT, our HPC infrastructure combines advanced GPUs, high-speed interconnects, and storage systems designed to feed data at the rate modern AI workloads demand. Racks in this environment operate above 125 kW per cabinet, with direct-liquid cooling and highly efficient power usage.
