Описание: Earlier, South Coast Busways launched a town service in Portchester, an interworking bi-directional circular service numbered the P1 and P2. Although the service ran so infrequently as to only require a single bus at a time, and only ran 6 days a week, it proved popular and they were met with demands for a larger local network in the area. The new services were to be numbered the P3, P4, and P5. An enhanced, now daily P1 and P2 would also form part of the network. The new network will also do away with the old Optare Esteem-bodied Scania N94UBs used on the P1 and P2, to be replaced by a fleet of all-new Optare MetroCities, simple and utilitarian, in a friendly baby blue scheme branded for the town.
