The coconut tree was almost at the end of its life. Though it had lost its vitality, it still supported life in many forms. Owls, barbets, mynas, and woodpeckers had created cavities in its trunk and used them to raise their offspring.
Eventually, the tree fell, and Apis cerana honey bees occupied these cavities and built multiple hives within the same cavity. During routine farm cleaning, we discovered this beehive. With great care, we gently transferred it into a bee box, giving the bees a safer and sustainable home.
