Описание: A traditional sami jojk. "The voice of the river and the clean water" and "the calving reindeer herd" Astrid Lindstrand Tuorda lives in Ráddnávrre / Randijaur four kilometers west of Jåhkåmåhkke / Jokkmokk. She has sung, yoked and devoted herself to music since she was really small. The cultural school in Jokkmokk is the only one in the country that offers jojk and there Astrid has taken jojk and singing lessons for many years. Astrid also participates in the film Gállok - Kampen i Sameland, a film about the mining plans in her home area and about the Lule Sami heritage. It is from the Lule Sami tradition, both the older and the newer, she picks up the jojks we get to hear.
