GT Cup Race 3 Brands Hatch (BMW M3 E46 GTR GT3)

Описание: A positive end to a very tough few weeks for the team.

The car was finally rebuilt and arrived at the track at 2am Saturday morning so Saturday's racing was pretty much a shakedown. Michael did all of the driving and after a few issues in practice and qualifying the car ran well in the race and Michael was able to have his first full stint in the car in 4 years with times coming down gradually.

Sunday qualifying was my first time on the Brands GP circuit (ever!) and my first race in the M3 V8 GTR...so a lot to learn and all at race pace- thrown in at the deep end! I was pleased with my progress through the day qualifying 5th 1.5 seconds off pole, and in the first sprint race decreasing my time by a further 1.3 seconds and again by another second in this race to take 2nd place and also the fastest lap. The black Ferrari I am chasing is in the GTC class hence all over him in the corners and he pulls away on the straights.

There are a few fairly fundamental issues that need addressing which the team and I will sort for Rockingham!
