Full route visual (diversion) | 476: Ledbury - Hereford | BV73 MTZ

Описание: Hi everyone! I haven't recorded a route visual in Herefordshire for well over a year now, mainly as I've exhausted through all the double deck routes in Herefordshire. 461 is double deck during term time between Hereford and Kington, but that is technically not the whole route and I haven't had an opportunity to film down that way recently. I've realised I can now try to move onto filming single-decker routes, from the driver's POV/windscreen. So, I'm currently going to try and focus on routes I see as my "core routes" in Herefordshire (although my definition of that here is extremely loose and somewhat biased in a way), namely: DRM's 232, 420 and 476, First's 417 and 675, Lugg Valley's 426, 490 and 492, Nick Maddy's 34 and 40, Sargeants' 41, 461 and 462, Stagecoach South Wales' 23 and T14 and Yeomans' 449, 453, 454 and Z. Some of those are definitely more important than others, some of them are not important at all, some of them will be much more difficult to achieve than others, but they will likely be my first priorities for route visuals going forward. 476 is the first one, I also made an unsuccessful attempt of filming the 490/492 route from Ludlow to Leominster to Hereford on the same day! 426 is also done and is in the process of being edited right now. Of course, I have no idea how long all of this will take or whether I'll even ever finish all these routes, and I can assure you there will be no consistency in how frequent these will be uploaded due to other priorities - sorry!

Anyway, first up: 476. This is DRM's flagship route between Ledbury and Hereford. Previously using tri-axle OmniLinks with route branding, all were eventually withdrawn from service in some way or another, and the last one was sold to make way for a brand new Volvo B8RLE MCV Evora that was bought in late 2023, that now operates almost all 476 services throughout the day, including the one this visual was filmed on! The route currently operates around every 2 hours, but the frequency of the 476 and 492 are due to increase to hourly in the coming months as part of Herefordshire BSIP+ funding. It is very fast and direct, connecting the centres of Hereford and Ledbury in just over half an hour using the A438. This was my first time using the service, and it was very busy, reaching beyond seating capacity on the 11:00 journey. I really liked the route and would definitely recommend it!
