Highlighting recent deepfake threats, including a fake video created using his interview with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, he explained how misinformation ecosystems are becoming increasingly sophisticated and dangerous. Joshi also underlined PTI’s core principles of truth, accuracy, fairness, and independence, stressing that credibility is the agency’s greatest currency.

He urged young journalists to prioritise patience, verification, media literacy, and ethical decision-making, reminding them that journalism is not just a business but a public service rooted in trust.
