The sold-out show, titled “Astral Threads,” was held in the Lory Student Center Grand Ballroom. It showcased the work of 23 CSU student designers, many of whom were seniors in the capstone course “Apparel Design and Production,” AM 446. The show also featured the work of students in “Patternmaking II-Draping, AM 340,” who repurposed thrifted goods and materials from outdoor wear donated by Spyder to create unique, sustainable designs.
The show was planned, promoted and produced by students in a third course, “Fashion Show Production and Event Planning.” Four committees in that class — Garment and Modeling, Promotions and Publicity, Stage and Set, and VIP and Sponsorship — worked throughout the spring semester to curate every detail, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
