Rules

Basic Nuzlocke Rules

1 If a Pokémon faints, it is considered “dead” and must be boxed permanently in the Graveyard.

2 I may only catch the first encounter per route/area.

3 All Pokémon must be nicknamed.

4. Mercy Revive Rule (Limited)
• I get 3 Mercy Revives for the entire run.
• If a Pokémon faints, I may use one Mercy Revive to bring it back.
• Once all 3 are used, deaths are permanent.

5. . Duplicate Clause
• If my first encounter is a Pokémon I already own (or its evolution line), I may reroll the encounter.

6 . Shiny Clause
• Any shiny Pokémon can be caught and used regardless of encounter rules.

7 . Gift & Static Clause
• Gift Pokémon and static encounters count as separate encounters.

8. Wipe Protection Rule
• If I black/white out:
◦ I may rebuild a team from the PC.
◦ If I have no usable Pokémon left, I may catch one new Pokémon from the last route visited.

9. Level Buffer
• I may level up to +2 levels above the next Gym Leader’s highest Pokémon.

10. One Free Mulligan
• If my first encounter on a route is completely unusable (e.g., Magikarp with no attacking moves early game), I get one reroll for that route.
