VOGTLAND SHOOTING METHOD
Mark Vogt
In this episode of VOGTLAND OUTDOORS host Mark Vogt demonstrates a simple 2-step method for STRINGWALKING that works with ALL BOWS. These 2 steps are ALL YOU NEED TO SHOOT ACCURATELY from 5 yards out to 120 yards :-O !!!
The VOGTLAND STRINGWALKING METHOD IS AS EASY AS CAN BE !
There are only 2 SIMPLE NUMBERS YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER:
1. WHAT is your GAP (in "finger-widths") for shooting 20 YARDS (or meters); and
2. WHAT Is the GAP-CHANGE (also in "finger-widths") for a 10 YARD CHANGE in RANGE
I'LL GIVE YOU THE ANSWERS IN ADVANCE !!!
BOWS 15# - 30#: Start with a 2-finger gap for 20 yards, and 1-finger change for every 10 yards !
BOWS 40# - 60#: Start with a 3-finger gap for 20 yards, and 1/2-finger change for every 10 yards !
SEE HOW SIMPLE THIS IS?? - AND THE ACCURACY IS AMAZING !!!
DON'T BOTHER TO REMEMBER ANYTHING ELSE - YOU CAN FIGURE IT OUT ON-the-FLY FROM JUST THESE 2 NUMBERS !!!
TO STRINGWALK FOR ANY SHOT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS:
1. Always START WITH YOUR 20 YARD GAP; then
2. ADJUST this gap by 1/2 finger-width for every 10 yards of change in range
INCREASE the gap when shooting CLOSER...
DECREASE the gap when shooting FARTHER...
SIMPLE !
EXAMPLE: SAY you're shooting at 40 YARDS:
1. START with 20 yard gap; then
2. REDUCE this gap by 1 finger (1 half-fingers) and POOF - you have your gap for 40 yards !!
WASN'T that simple ???
EXAMPLE: SAY you're shooting at 50 YARDS:
1. START with 20 yard gap; then
2. REDUCE this gap by 1 1/2 fingers (3 "half-fingers") and VOILA - you have your gap for 50 yards!!!
NO WAY MARK - IT CAN'T BE THIS SIMPLE !!!
OH YES IT CAN !!!
EXAMPLE: SAY you're shooting at 80 YARDS (I do this ALL THE TIME - it's FUN !!!!):
1. START with 20 yard gap; then
2. REDUCE this gap by 3 fingers (6 "half-fingers") and PRESTO - you have your gap for 80 yards !!!
WHAT ABOUT SHOOTING CLOSER THAN 20 YARDS ??
EXAMPLE: SHOOTING at 10 YDS
1. START with your 20 yard gap; then
2. INCREASE this gap by 1/2 finger and KAZAM - you have your gap for 10 yards !!!
IMAGINE being able to shoot with ACCURACY & CONFIDENCE at ranges from 5 yards aaaaaaalllll the way out to 120 yards :-O ALL OF THIS IS BOTH POSSIBLE AND EASY with STRINGWALKING !!!
WATCH the VIDEO and you'll see what I mean :-)
